I don’t even know who that girl is anymore. To be honest, I can’t even remember who I was. Innocent, pure, studious, crazy, athletic. Where did it all go? I feel like I’ve lost all of that. I never meant to change. I just met some influential people, grew up a little, and made all the wrong choices. Sure, most of it was for the better. I’m more mature now, I’m stronger, and I’m more caring than I was before. A little less naive. But look at where I am. I’m a mess. I won’t pretend like I don’t wonder what life would be like had I never changed. Change is a part of life, it’s inevitable. But where would I be had I made the right decisions? With my old friends? With a loving, caring boyfriend? With a smile on my face that was there by choice instead of faking it to get through the day? I never meant to change. But I did.
